My brain’s opinion is that there may be many reasons to do
ancestry searches. In my case, I have been delighted to discover that I have
ancestors from multiple countries and that expands my interest in exploring
those countries. In addition, I learned about how long some of my ancestors
lived, what they did for a living, where music and musical instruments played a
part, and on and on. Fairly recent research has identified that some brain
conditions—Autism Spectrum, for example—may link to paternal line inheritances
from several generations back.
