I was told
that aluminum is now linked with dementia, specifically Alzheimer's disease. Have you heard about this?
Although I
know of no studies that identify aluminum as the major cause of
Alzheimer’s disease, aluminum has now been identified as a contributing factor
in all forms of Alzheimer’s. (That may be true for other dementias as well,
although the studies I know about relate to Alzheimer’s disease.) Aluminum is toxic to the brain and is said to increase the progression of
the disease in people who already have Alzheimer’s. Reportedly, elevated levels
of aluminum can contribute to the early onset of Alzheimer’s, especially when
there is a history of major exposure to aluminum—as in those who worked in
factories that produced aluminum products. More
tomorrow.
