Based on audience
questions about EQ, it became clear that there was a great deal of confusion about
what EQ even was, what it could do for a person, or how you “get it.” Here’s one
working definition:
Emotional Intelligence involves the ability to know what feels good, what
feels bad, and how to get from bad to good in a way that results in positive
outcomes.
No surprise, the brain likes and wants to feel
good. That’s appropriate. Learning how to feel good in a way that results in
positive outcomes, however, is a learning curve. More tomorrow.
